Based on the book by Ramona Badescu and Benjamin Chaud.
Is there always an elephant at the root of a trunk? Can there be another animal there? Where does the animal start and where does it end? Can a trunk become a question mark? And can this trunk sniff out a surprise? And must a pink elephant really be pink? There is so much that is strange in this world. So much to discover!
Riverso is an upside-down show, weird and full of surprises. We invite everyone into a unique garden. In there we will look over and under, look up and look down. In there we can uncover secrets and discover what's on the other side of the obvious and familiar.
The performance is inspired by the world-renowned children's books about the little garden elephant Pomelo, written by Ramona Badescu and illustrated by Benjamin Chaud. The stories are intelligent, filled with humor and philosophical questions for the youngest children.
Excited by imaginative observations and the little elephants adventures Open Window Theater and the creators of the performance play with form, sound and image. And they do not hesitate to ask wise questions to the youngest and to their close adults.
The music is created by Mari Kvien Brunvoll, an original composer seeking new sound solutions. We get to hear her both singing and playing, including on a magic porcelain instrument.
Riverso is a new show by the creators of The Tiny Huge Journey, made especially for the youngest audience. The audience will be introduced to a scenic world with a warm and curious atmosphere.
Possibility to present the performance in Norwegian and Polish
